When
your organization entrusts its MX record to Webservio, you can be
certain it is completely protected.
First,
through our SpamWeeder Portal System (image 2A)
we provide you with 4 MX records (image 2B)
for complete redundancy while filtering spam and viruses.
These records are important because you have complete protection
from spammers, the outside world, and from malicious attacks.
See
if you are currently protected by viewing your MX record through
DNS lookup at http://www.dnsgoodies.com.
As
spam and/or infected messages are detected, they are quarantined.
This decreases the load of all those spam messages off of your mail
server, thereby lessening the threat of your server susbsequently
crashing from an email volume beyond its capacity. By logging into
our SpamWeeder Portal with a user name and password, all quarantined
messages may be viewed (image 2C).
Senders, domains, and/or mailing lists may be approved or blocked.
In addition, filters and personal settings may also be adjusted.
While
our anti-spam system is working for you 100% of the time (with a
99.999% guarantee!), our Mail Bagging service is in place for times
of disaster or simple maintenance when your server is down.
Our
anti-spam system will be configured with a secondary MX record.
Our Mail Bagging Solution
will send only clean mail to the Shared
Mail Backup Server (image 3A)
where it will be held in the mail queue (image 3B)
until your primary server is back online. If you choose our Shared
Mail Bagging Power Plan or if you add the Webmin interface
to our Standard, Express or Business Plans, you
can access the mail queue by viewing "Sendmail Configuration"
from your admin portal Webmin menu. From here, you may update your
mail server IP address, manually flush the mail queue, view a snap
shot of your log file, and update monitoring notification addresses.
Finally,
by adding our Email Continuity
Solution (image 4A), a copy of all
clean, backed-up mail will be sent to your choice of the following:
the Webservio Hosted Mail System (POP3, WebMail), a collaborative
suite such as Zimbra, your organization's customized email solution,
or even a g-mail account for small businesses. Each user within
your organization must have a user account to send and receive email
during the primary server down time. In disaster time, a collaborative
email solution (i.e. Zimbra) is most helpful as all user accounts
are archived. Therefore, valuable time isn't spent inputting all
user information.
Employees
with user accounts can send and receive email using Webservio's
Web-based access or their favorite email client (i.e. Outlook, Outlook
Express, Thunderbird, Incredimail, etc.). Your organization's business
continuity is maintained!
