I suspect spam messages are coming through my second priority MX record used for Mail Bagging. |
A second priority MX record allows the Webservio Mail Bagging system to work. At times, spammers use different MX records randomly to spam. If your mail server is receiving large amounts of spam, we recommend our Email Defense solution which is an anti-spam/virus filtering system combined with the Mail Bagging solution. To learn more about the Email Sheltering services and plans offered please refer to the following web pages:

What is an MX record and how does your solution work? |
An MX (email exchange) record is an instruction within a DNS (domain name system) that routes the e-mail for the domain to the correct mail server. Without a valid mail exchange record, one cannot send and receive emails. When a message is sent to an email address, that piece of mail is routed through to the mail server whose MX record is listed in the DNS. When you sign up for Webservio's SpamWeeder solution, your email will be routed to our anti-spam portal by using MX records we provide. Once the messages have been filtered through our portal, we will relay the mail to the correct mail server as specified with your email exchange record. |
|
Does the SpamWeeder Solution increase the time or risk for sending out email? |
Not at all. In fact, an email is typically sent through seven to eight intermediaries as it travels to the recipient. Our anti-spam service only adds one additional millisecond intermediary in this journey and neither delays the mail nor adds any risk to it. |

Can I see a demonstration of this service? |

Is this solution only for corporate accounts? My business has only a few email accounts that need to be protected. |
Our spam prevention solution can service any need from one user to large, corporate accounts. Please view our four non-enterprise plans for 1-50 users or our three enterprise plans based on your anti-spam needs. If you require a solution that will accommodate over 500 email users or have a special request, you can contact our sales team at [email protected] or call 1-866-790-4678 to receive a customized SpamWeeder quotation. |
|
Our Business has 100 email accounts but we only need 25 of those accounts to be protected from spam. Is that possible? |
Definitely. After signing up with Webservio, you will provide us with your administrative user. Your admin will take charge of the email addresses that need to be included in the anti-spam coverage. All messages sent to the unprotected email accounts will not be affected by our SpamWeeder service. You may increase your number of users at any time by contacting [email protected]. |
|
Must I set up the SpamWeeder users for my domain myself? |
No. Although you, the system administrator, do have the access to add new users to your account, you can have us do it for you upon initial setup. All we need is for you to send an excel sheet of all the addresses that will be protected with our spam blocking solution. The users must be formatted as [email protected]. The other alternative is to enable the smart create option which will progressively recognize legitimate users and categorize them as such. |
|
What happens if a genuine correspondent sends an email to an outdated address for my domain? How will they know that their messages are not getting through to us? |
You have the ability to turn a bounce back option on and off. With the Non-Account Bouncing preference selected, senders will receive a message letting them know when their emails did not reach the intended recipient. |
|
Can I control how aggressive my anti-spam solution is on stopping junk emails? |
You can choose the Spam Filtering link to set the spam fighting sensitivity level anywhere from Lenient to Aggressive. You may also select specific categories, such as Sexually Explicit, to filter at a different level from the rest of the bulk mail. |
|
Can I include domain or user aliases in my SpamWeeder account? |
Yes. Depending on the plan you select, you may have the ability to add up to four domains as aliases so that all of your users at your primary domain and your aliased domain will be covered by premium anti-spam service. You also have the ability to add an alias to your individual users. If you do not see a plan that will fit your alias needs, please contact [email protected]. |
